There are a number of trails to choose from depending on your riding ability and desire for adventure.
Mt Burke Heli Biking + Boat Trip
Take on Mt Burke for a quintessential New Zealand mountain biking experience. A helicopter flight above Lake Wanaka is a must do for anyone visiting the region to really comprehend the magnificence of the surrounding countryside. So, combine this with a ride through a rugged high country station where every corner leaves you with breathtaking views and you'll be riding away with precious memories for a lifetime.
Mt Burke is situated within the picturesque mountain range that divides Lake Wanaka and Lake Hawea. Your scenic heli flight from Wanaka to Mt Burke Station will boast uninterrupted views of these lakes and the Southern Alps before dropping you off 1400m up on the high country station leaving you to navigate your way down 1100 vertical metres of epic farm land! On arrival at the edge of Lake Wanaka a boat awaits you. Cruise to unique Mou Waho island where there is a lake at the top of the island that lies on a lake! Enjoy an hours free time to explore the island and walk to the lake at the top before relaxing on your boat trip back to Wanaka. This is an experience like no other where you will have the trip of a life time combining a helicopter flight, mountain biking and boat cruise all in one epic adventure.
Fitness Guideline: This ride caters to intermediate riders so a good level of fitness is required.
