    Can you drive a normal car eg. Toyota corolla up to the snow if you have chains? Or is it best to get a shuttle?

    Hi Belinda. You can drive a normal 2 wheel drive car up the Remarkables ski field road in Queenstown as long as you have chains with you. Sometimes the roads are closed due to too much snow though. If you have not driven in winter apline conditions before then I would recommend catching the free shuttle from town as the roads can be treacherous.
