What you can expect
Get ready for a thrilling four-hour adventure in Kaikōura. Your journey kicks off in the central Kaikōura, where you’ll meet the local crew and board a shuttle for a 15-minute ride through breathtaking coastal countryside. From there, switch over into a custom-built 4x4 for an off-road expedition along the Kahutara River and through Rakanui Station. Next, you’ll set out on a short, scenic walk to the zipline launch site, taking in panoramic views along the way.
Feel the rush as you glide down five epic ziplines spanning up to 610 metres and reaching speeds of up to 70 kilometres per hour. With twin lines running side-by-side, you can even race a friend. Your guides will share stories about Kaikōura’s wildlife, culture, and ongoing conservation efforts throughout the day. This unforgettable adventure perfectly blends adrenaline and nature, creating the ultimate way to experience the wild beauty of New Zealand’s South Island.

- You must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to departure.
- This experience is approximately four hours in duration.
- This experience departs from EcoZip Adventures Kaikoura 75 West End, Kaikōura 7300.
- Trainers, hiking shoes, or walking sandals that you don’t mind getting dirty
- Warm jersey or fleece, and a rain jacket during colder weather
- Sunscreen and a hat or cap that fits under a helmet
- Water bottle
- Maximum of 12 participants
- Child rates apply to children under 15 years old
- Minimum required weight is 30kg (66lbs) and maximum weight limit is 125kg (275lbs)
- In the event of rain or inclement weather your experience will still go ahead unless contacted by the experience provider
- Bookings cancelled within 48-hours of scheduled departure time are non-refundable. Bookings amended to another date and/or time within 48-hours of scheduled departure time are subject to a rescheduling fee of $49 per person. Participants that fail to present themselves 15 minutes before their Zipline (‘no show’) will forfeit 100% of their payment.
- Bookings cancelled more than 48-hours before scheduled departure time are subject to a $25 cancellation charge per person and the balance shall be refunded. Subject to availability such bookings may be amended once free-of-charge. Any subsequent amendments or cancellations will be subject to the cancellation charges set out in these Terms.
- Rescheduling: An additional $49.00 fee per person will be payable to EcoZip Adventures upon reschedules within 48hours of the booking
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
- Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience
- Mobile Vouchers are accepted! Vouchers can also be presented on your mobile device for this attraction
