What you can expect

Discover one of Queenstown’s most scenic rides on the Twin Rivers Trail, a spectacular 36 km journey from historic Arrowtown to Queenstown. This self-guided ride winds through stunning alpine landscapes, following the Arrow and Kawarau Rivers past golden farmland, dramatic mountain backdrops, and iconic local landmarks including the historic Old Shotover Bridge.

Beginning with a scenic shuttle to Arrowtown, the trail flows through some of the region’s most beautiful countryside before finishing along the lakeside Frankton Track, returning you effortlessly to Queenstown. Along the way, there are wonderful opportunities to pause for a coffee, wine tasting, or craft beer at favourite local spots such as The Boatshed Café, Wet Jacket Wines, or Altitude Brewing.

The trail is well-maintained gravel with a few moderate climbs and typically takes 3.5–4 hours to complete. Electric bikes are highly recommended, allowing you to enjoy the ride at a relaxed pace while soaking up the spectacular scenery. Add somewhere here for the confident rider

This is a ride designed to be savoured — the perfect blend of adventure, landscapes, and local flavour in the heart of the Southern Alps.

Never got to go as we had to cancel, with plenty of advance notice. I don't understand why we couldn't get 100% of our money back.
