What you can expect
Dirt bike until you are content over 11,000 acres of spectacular back country landscape and historic region in the Kawarau Gorge with Off Road Adventures. Off Road is New Zealand's original and largest operator of it's kind with over 25 years experience and the team are focused on ensuring you enjoy the ultimate off road dirt biking experience.
Let's Ride (1.5hr): Experience the rush the qualified dirt bikers get and test your skills on a 1.5 hour ride in the spectacular Kawarau Gorge. Take on the hill climbs, creek crossings, dirt bike MX track and the spectacular trails that link the Kawarau River to the mountains bordering the Kawarau Gorge. Tours are tailored to each individuals riding ability and are conducted in small groups so it doesn't matter if you are a novice or experienced dirt bikers the Let's Ride dirt bike tour is for everyone. No motorcycle licence is required but competency on a motorcycle must be shown before taking part in the tour. Choose between a Suzuki DR250, DRZ400 or Yamaha WR450 dirt bike.
Learn 2 Ride (1.5hr): Learn how to ride a dirt bike and 'scrub it like Bubba' on a beginners dirt bike tour with Off Road Adventures. Master the basics of clutch & throttle control and learn balance and weight placement on a dirt bike. This activity is best suited to physically fit and confident adventure-seekers who are looking for a thrill.

- Return transfers from the Off Road shop in Queenstown
- 1.5 hours of tailored dirt bike riding
- Selection of 4 stroke dirt bikes 250cc
- MX helmets, boots, goggles, gloves, pants & riding top provided
- Unique & stunning scenery of the historic Kawarau gorge
- Allow 3 hours round trip from Queenstown (1.5hr ride time)
- 9:00am, 11:00am, 1:00pm & 3:00pm
- Departs Off Road shop, 61a Shotover St, Queenstown
- Operates daily from October to April
- Minimum age is 16 years
- Max 10 people at once
- No licence required for the Let's Ride tour but you must be a competent motorcycle rider
- Wear long pants & socks
- Bring water, snacks & sunglasses
- Don't forget your camera
- Operates October to April only subject to weather conditions

Service and cleanliness of bus was of high standard. Lunch was nice. I would use this company again.
I also booked a helicopter flight that unfortunately was canceled...Later I was told by the bus driver, that they did not use helicopters !! only fixed wings..I would never have booked the latter as I get sick on small planes !!
