My partner and I booked the quad biking experience together. We were told we’d receive a thorough breakdown of how to use the quad bikes, along with a training session — the entire training session was less than half an hour. It felt like we didn’t really get a proper run-through of how to control the bike, when to best accelerate with hills etc. It was just: jump on, turn it on, brakes and that’s it. I would have liked a bit more time on this part and some tips on how to handle going up and downhill. I was riding at the front of our group of four, and therefore felt like our instructor was looking at me the most when deciding if we were all capable of riding up the hill. After less than 20 minutes, she told me she’d “feel better if I stopped riding” and sat with her in the buggie instead. It felt quite disappointing, as I thought I was doing alright going up the hills. But I wasn’t given much explanation of why I had to stop riding — she just told me to sit with her for “my safety”. Understandable but again, it felt a bit unfair with the lack of explanation. As a result, I spent the rest of the 3 hours sitting with her, missing out on riding with the group. My partner was able to continue but felt quite disappointed that I was so abruptly told to get off my bike with not much reason why. We also didn’t get any of the photos that the tour guide took emailed to us so… I would recommend going with a different company! This wasn’t the best
