Try out this combo for a 40 minute adrenaline fuelled jet boat ride on the thrilling Thunder Jet boat followed by an action packed 2 hour white water rafting trip on the Kawarau River (grade 2-3 rapids).
You will experience the Thunder Jet boat race out of Queenstown Bay before sending passengers spinning with a full 360 degree spin to really wake up those on board. After speeding across the serene waters of Queenstown's Lake Wakatipu, you'll make your way up the mighty Kawarau river before being dropped off on the river banks for your 2 hour white water rafting trip. No messing about, straight from the jet boat to the raft!!
Whitewater rafting on the Kawarau River is the perfect option for first time rafters or those looking for a more relaxed experience. Enjoy the white water action with the opportunity to kick back, relax and enjoy the stunning scenery of the Kawarau River on the calmer sections.

- 2 hours whitewater rafting down the Kawarau River (grade 2-3 rapids)
- Hot showers available after rafting
- All rafting equipment included
- Allow 4.5hrs
- 9:00am & 2:00pm
- Pick up from 88 Beach Street Visitor Centre (or self drive to rafting base at 1 Arthurs Point Road)
- Operates from October - April
- Do we need to pay for pick-up for the Raft & Jet Combo? No, there are complimentary transfers for the Raft & Jet Combo from 88 Beach Street in Queenstown.
- Minimum age 13 years (no child rates)
- You must be able to swim
- You must not be taking heart medication or have any heart conditions
- The weight range for rafting is 40kg – 120kg
- Children 13-17 years must be accompanied by an adult
- Please bring swimwear, a towel & a warm jacket for after your trip
- If you are pregnant you are unable to raft
- Weather dependent
