Our coach driver Allegra made this tour spectacular. She was a wealth of tourist knowledge & a happy young lady. The places we stopped at on the way were stunning, the cruise was fantastic & the plane ride back had stunning views with great commentary from Rob the pilot. Highly recommend!

Combine the best of both worlds as you travel in a premium small group coach one way into Milford Sound, cruise by boat on the fiord and then fly out in a small plane back to Queenstown.
The 5 hour drive into Milford Sound from Queenstown is absolutely stunning but you really don't need to do it twice. So forget the long coach ride back to Queenstown and jump on what many describe as the world's best 1 hour flight from Milford airport and take in the spectacular views of Milford Sound, dramatic Mitre Peak, often snow capped mountain ranges and crystal clear lakes as you head back to Queenstown by air.
Affectionately coined the 'eighth wonder of the world', Milford Sound is a destination not to be missed and a coach cruise fly tour with Altitude Tours will tick that box with an exclamation mark! Riding in premium Mercedes vans seating a maximum of 16 passengers and guaranteed glass roof, this small group Milford Sound tour provides you with an interactive and uniquely kiwi experience. Travelling to Milford in this way provides you with the most intimate and personal way to visit Milford Sound on a coach, cruise, fly trip from Queenstown.
The seemingly untouched and endlessly scenic drive from Queenstown into Fiordland National Park is complimented effortlessly as your witty and knowledgeable guide for the day provides you with perfect blend of informative commentary and sarcastic kiwi humour.
When you arrive into Milford Sound, sit back and relax as your boat captain takes you on a 1.75 hour scenic cruise on a spacious purpose-built boat with large windows ensuring the best views of the magnificent waterfalls and mountains. Or get up and wonder the decks during this once in a lifetime nature cruise and be on the lookout for the abundant native sea life like penguins, seals and dolphins; not to mention the infinite species of birdlife.
Sit back and enjoy cruising the fiord while tucking into a delicious packed picnic lunch (optional extra). If you have any dietary requirements just let us know and we can discuss the options.
At the conclusion of your boat take a short stroll over to the air strip and board your small plane where your experienced pilot will escort you back to Queenstown. Check out the incredible views from high above as you wave goodbye to the caravan of coaches starting off on their long drive back to Queenstown.
We paid extra for this tour as it clearly says its a small group and small boat Whilst the ride to and from was excellent, Mrs Do of Holland our driver and guide was extremely kind and significantly informative and accomadating. One of our mates threw up.and she helped to clean. She done great stops and gave us great insights However at Milford we were put on a huge boat with hundreds of other people. This was no small group nor small boat. It was the normal boat everyone was comming and just buying tickets at the counter The boat was cramped. No space to menouver and take pics I regret unfortunately for paying so much. I could have saved easily $60 ×5 on a normal trip booking. I paid the extra for a smaller exclusive tour
