What you can expect

The Moke Lake Experience is the perfect opportunity to escape the crowds of Queenstown and experience some of New Zealand pure natural beauty. Moke Lake is a locals favourite and is only a short 20-minute drive from Queenstown, so is perfect for a half-day adventure. Get out on the peaceful and calm waters of Moke Lake to really unwind and relax as you paddle across the lake taking in the stunning scenery.

Your self-guided tour will start with a demonstration and safety briefing on paddleboarding before you set off on the water, so don't worry if you are new to the sport, they will make sure you are comfortable and confident before sending you on your way. Upon your return to shore, you will be served some light refreshments before heading back to town.

Moke Lake is known for turning into a mirror and reflecting the beautiful surroundings on the top of the water, so fingers crossed for a clear day so you can experience this mirror lake. Luckily if the lake isn't calm, the boards offer great stability and are easy to manoeuvre in varied lake conditions. Paddle Queenstown really is the best way to experience New Zealand's impressive natural beauty at your own pace on this self-guided tour!

Couldn’t go due to everything Australia not providing tickets we paid for, and delay in refunding us. Not Currumbin wildlife sanctuary’s fault.
