The Jetboat experience was GREAT and we would recommend it to anyone wanting an exciting and exhilirating experience. The driver was well experienced and at no time did we feel anxious.
What you can expect
As the Shotover Jet boat careens wildly down the Shotover River, suppress a scream as you clutch white knuckled at the handrails and feel the adrenaline course through your veins. Right from the start, as the engine gives a mighty roar and the boat picks up speed shockingly quickly, you know you are in for the ride of your life. As you race down the Shotover River and into the dramatic Shotover Canyon, zigzag past outcrops before holding on for dear life as the boat performs the Shotover Jet’s signature move - a hair raising 360 degree spin.
In between, your captain will point out noteworthy sights, pausing briefly before once again catapulting the boat into action. Shotover Jet Queenstown has been dubbed the world’s most exciting jet boat ride for a reason. We dare you to prove us wrong.

- Pick up from Station Building in central Queenstown or self drive to the Shotover Jet Base in Arthurs Point (10 minutes drive from Queenstown)

- Will I get wet on the Shotover Jet in Queenstown?If you are sitting on the outer seats of the Shotover Jet in Queenstown, you may get a little wet during the 360-degree spins. If you would prefer to stay drier, we recommend sitting in the middle of the boat and bringing a rain jacket.
- Where can I store my belongings during the Shotover Jet in Queenstown? There are complimentary lockers available at the Shotover Jet base in Queenstown. As these are shared, we recommend leaving valuables at your accommodation where possible.
