Experience Queenstown’s alpine backcountry like never before on a Private Heli Snowbike Tour with Snowmoto. This unique adventure combines a scenic helicopter flight from Queenstown with an exclusive guided snowbiking session in remote mountain terrain, designed for 2–5 riders.

After your private heli transfer, gear up and ride across untouched snow on a snowbike selected to suit your size and experience. With expert instruction and a range of bikes for kids, teens and adults, this 1–1.5 hour session is tailored to suit both confident riders and adventurous beginners (some prior motorcycle experience is recommended).

Whether you're planning a special occasion, ticking off a winter bucket list, or chasing a once-in-a-lifetime alpine experience with friends or family, Snowmoto delivers a unique way to explore the mountains around Queenstown — far from the ski fields and crowds.

  • Operates in winter only (June - October)
Additional Information
  • Minimum of 2 and maximum of 5 riders per group
  • Previous motorcycle or snowmobile experience required (must be confident using clutch, gears and brakes)
  • Spectators may join free of charge, subject to helicopter space (5 seats total)
  • Minimum age is 7 years (prior moto experience recommended for kids)
  • Bikes available: 2x kids' bikes, 2x teenagers' bikes, 5x adults' bikes
  • Please bring wool or waterproof socks, goggles, gloves, warm base layers, waterproof or ski jacket, and waterproof or ski pants
  • If the tour cannot operate due to weather, you will be contacted on the day to reschedule
  • Cancellations made within 30 days of travel will incur a 100% cancellation fee
