What you can expect
Skydiving in Queenstown with NZONE is an experience that you will never forget. As you ascend to 9000ft, the stunning views of the Southern Alps and Lake Wakatipu are sure to take your breath away. Then, the adrenaline rush begins as you prepare to jump out of the plane, ready to experience the feeling of freefalling at speeds up to 200km per hour. The wind rushing past your face and the feeling of weightlessness is incredible!
As you reach the halfway point, the parachute is deployed, and you can take a moment to catch your breath and enjoy the view. You will then start your peaceful descent back to the dropzone, with time to truly appreciate the beauty of Queenstown's mountains and surrounding landscape.
The highly trained and experienced instructors at NZONE Queenstown ensure that your safety is their top priority, and will guide you through every step of the experience. They are also experts at capturing the moment, and you can purchase photos and videos of your skydive on the day to relive the experience again and again.

What you need to know
- Pre-skydive information video, helping to explain any questions you have prior to your jump
- 15-20 minute flight to 9,000ft altitude
- Up to 25 seconds of freefall (reaching speeds up to 200kph!)
- 3-4 minute flight after the parachute opens
- Spectacular Queenstown scenery
- Expert skydive instructor & all safety equipment
- Return transfers from central Queenstown to the dropzone (15 minutes drive from Queenstown)
- Photos and video packages available for purchase on the day of your skydive
- Allow 3.5hrs (including return Queenstown transfers)
- Regular departures from 6:30am - 2pm in summer (8am - 2pm in winter)
- Departs from Skydive shop on Shotover Street in central Queenstown
- Operates daily all year
- Please bring closed shoes and comfortable, warm clothes
- Maximum weight is 95kg (209lbs). All persons over 95kg are subject to Tandem Master assessment at the drop zone.
- Minimum age of 6 years. Passengers under 18 years require written parental/guardian consent
- The minimum weight is 40kgs/88lbs and minimum height is 1.2metres/47.2inches. All passengers must fit securely into the harness. Children 12 years and under will be permitted to skydive from a maximum height of 9,000ft. All children are subject to an assessment on the day by the Tandem Master

- DVD & photo packages are available to purchase on the day from the dropzone
- This activity is weather dependent - we recommend booking for one of your first days in Queenstown so that you can reschedule if necessary
