In the True South Flights fixed wing plane, your pilot will navigate you into the heart of the Southern Alps and around Mount Cook. Aoraki Mount Cook is the tallest mountain in New Zealand, measuring in at 3,724 metres (12,318ft). Known as the cloud-piercer, Mt Cook is surrounded by the Southern Alps, a range of mountains that contains over 3000 glaciers and runs the length of the South Island. Mt Cook National Park is also home to New Zealand's longest glacier - the Tasman Glacier.
As you fly to Mount Cook National Park you will take in impressive views of New Zealand's highest mountains, enormous glaciers, snow fields, glacial lakes, intricate river systems and more; including Fox Glacier, Franz Josef and Tasman Glaciers to name but a few.
After taking in the spectacular scenery of Mt Cook, you will then fly back to Queenstown via a different flight route.
