Crater Lakes Flight - 15 minute flight The Crater Lakes flight departs from Volcanic Air's base on Rotoura's lakefront. Experience the thrill and novelty of taking off from the water via floatplane, before climbing over the eastern ridgeline towards the hidden lakes district. Fly over Mokoia Island before embarking on the lakes of Okataina, Tarawera, Okareka, Rotokakahi (Green Lake)and Tikitapu (Blue Lake). The true beauty of these magnificent crater lakes can only be appreciated from above as the volcanic terrain keeps these gems hidden. Enjoy the aerial perspective before flying back over the shores of Lake Rotorua and the city prior to landing.
