Hell's Gate Geothermal Walk provides an awe-inspiring journey through New Zealand's most active geothermal park, located in Rotorua. Step into the mystical realm of the Hell's Gate thermal Pprk, where you can experience the wonders of hot waterfalls, mud volcanoes and erupting geysers. This short walk takes between 1 to 1. 5 hours and you can choose either a guided or self-guided option. 

On the guided geothermal walk around the Hell's Gate Geothermal Reserve, you'll encounter a mesmerising display of geysers, steaming fumaroles, and bubbling mud pools. Knowledgeable guides will lead you through this enchanting terrain, sharing fascinating insights into the geological marvels and Maori legends that make this place truly special. If choosing self-guided, you will be provided with a map upon entry to the Hell's Gate thermal park.

As you wander along wooden walkways, the geothermal activity on display is a sight to behold. But this walk also offers interactive experiences, including getting your hands (& feet!) dirty by visiting the healing mud foot pool, as well as the chance to try your hand at Maori carving.
