What you can expect

The Lakeland Queen is truly a lady of the lake, and you are invited aboard for an hour of luxury. The Lakeland Queen has been paddling Lake Rotorua since she was launched in 1986. She is New Zealand's only genuine stern wheel, shallow draft, paddle driven boat and was styled on the Mississippi River boats, due to the shallow lakebed of Lake Rotorua.

The Lakeland Queen scenic cruise is an absolutely perfect way to see Lake Rotorua and its surrounds. The scenery and the key landmarks, such as Ohinemutu, Kawaha Point, Mokoia Island, and Sulphur Point, are dazzling from the deck. Lake Rotorua is also home to a variety of birdlife and wildlife, making every moment on the water something special.

Your cruise includes a delicious buffet lunch featuring mouth watering food. There are also two fully licensed bars on board (additional cost). Your friendly and professional Skipper will provide full live commentary during the cruise, and the helpful crew are always on hand to make your time onboard easy and enjoyable. Sit back, relax, and soak up the stories and scenery of this beautiful area.

Great cruise, nice meal. Disappointed that people were allowed to smoke outside, with the smoke drifting inside
