Experience the thrill of soaring through the treetops on the exhilarating Ōkere Zip tour with Rotorua Ziplines. This 2.5 hour Rotorua zipline tour takes adventure seekers on a high-flying journey through lush New Zealand's forests above the famous Kaituna River.
The Ōkere Zip is an adrenaline-pumping experience, suspending you as high as 30 metres above the forest floor by sturdy cables and harnesses. The ziplining course includes four ziplines, a swing bridge and a series of elevated boardwalks - the longest zipline measuring in at 236 metres. Hold on tight as you reach speeds up to 40km/h, with the option to race a friend on the dual zipline! As you zoom from platform to platform, you'll be treated to spectacular views of three gushing Rotorua waterfalls, forest canopies and the surrounding Rotorua landscape. You'll even experience a unique view of the mighty Tutea Falls (7 metres), the highest commercially rafting waterfall in the world. So keep a special eye out for rafters!
The Rotorua ziplining experience is designed to cater to all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned zipline enthusiasts. Two knowledgeable guides will accompany you through the tour to provide expert instruction and ensure your safety. Learn all about the flora and fauna of the area from your Rotorua Ziplines guides, as well as the cultural significance of the land. Your Rotorua zipline tour also includes highlights of tasting ancient Maori teas and planting a native tree with your name on it!

- Departs from Rotorua Ziplines base on State Highway 33, Okere Falls (20 minutes from central Rotorua)
- Operates daily all year
- Child rates apply (5-12yrs)
- Minimum age is 5yrs. Children under 15yrs must be accompanied by a paying adult over 18
- Maximum weight limit is 130kg
- Participants must be able to walk approx 400m along a boardwalk during the tour
- Please wear comfortable weather-appropriate clothing & covered footwear
- Camera & phones are welcome (at own risk)
- Not suitable for pregnant ladies
