Get up close with the vineyard owners and winemakers to hear first hand how it's all done and enjoy your Central Otago wine experience.

If you want to make the most of your time in the Central Otago wine region then the Classic Tour is for you. The accent of this tour being on leisure as you immerse into the unique flavours and sights of this vineyard paradise. Take your time as you amble through 4-6 of the regions finest, pausing intermittently to admire the breathtaking views. Soak up the atmosphere of the arts, crafts and history of Old Cromwell Town and share the memorable indulgence of a delicious gourmet platter lunch.

Inclusions
  • Lunch - a delicious, barrel-cooked, five course banquet, matched with five award winning wines.
  • Up to 28 Tastings - award winning, hand-picked Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Rosé, Sparkling Wine, Gewürztraminer and other lesser-known varietals!
  • Friendly, knowledgeable guides - will ensure your clients have a wonderful, fun, educational tour.
  • Free pickups (and drop offs) from accommodation in the Wanaka, Hawea and Luggate (Upper Clutha) areas
  • Transport in modern, comfortable, air-conditioned vehicles

  • Classic Tour: Allow 6.5 hrs
Departure Location
  • Classic Tour: 11am (returns by 5.30pm) on Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday
  • Pick up from your central Wanaka accommodation
  • Operates daily all year
Additional Information
  • Maximum of eight guests and a minimum of two adult guests per tour
  • Departure times may vary during June, July, and August. Please enquire
  • Pickups outside the Upper Clutha area may include a fuel surcharge. Please enquire on booking

  • Participants must be 18 years and over to consume alcohol; photo ID may be required
  • If we cancel the trip due to unforeseen circumstances including but not limited to weather conditions your client will be offered an alternative day or be fully refunded/no charge. Wanaka Wine Tours reserves the right to apply discretion in special circumstances
Cancellation Policy
  • Cancellation by you more than 48 hours prior to departure time, you will be fully refunded.
  • Tours cancelled within 48 hours of departure or for no-shows, will incur a 100% charge.
  • If the trip is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances including, but not limited to, weather conditions, you will be offered an alternative day or be fully refunded.
