The amazing Waiheke Explorer Tour combines your ferry journey to Waiheke Island with a scenic tour of this beautiful Island and unlimited bus travel (on the Island) for the remainder of the day. What a fantastic way to see this amazing area!
Boarding from downtown Auckland at the Auckland Ferry Terminal, you will enjoy a 40 minute scenic cruise through the gorgeous Hauraki Gulf, as you make your way to Waiheke Island. Once there, you will be greeted by your friendly and experienced driver as you board your comfortable tour bus. Introducing you to Waiheke island’s best locations; hop on and off as much as you like at any of its 17 convenient stops which include vineyards, beaches and restaurants. If you prefer, stay on board and enjoy a 1½ hour scenic tour of the island. The double decker buses stop at some of the island’s iconic spots including Oneroa Village, Onetangi Beach, Batch Winery, the new Tantalus winery/brewery, Mudbrick Vineyard, Cable Bay Vineyard, Matiatia Wharf and more.
You will be enthralled by the stunning views as you are driven past beautiful coastal vistas, luxurious properties and scenic vineyards of the Island.
You will also see rolling hillsides, idyllic sandy beaches and other spectacular scenery as you get to know the island and see the daily happenings. The tour driver will give full commentary about Waiheke Island, its history and culture, so you will be well-prepared to further explore this stunning place if you choose to do so after the tour.
When the tour concludes, you can take advantage of the free day bus travel in order to explore every nook and cranny of the Island or visit some of the destinations you saw on the tour. Otherwise, you can return to Auckland, with more stunning scenery along the way. This tour is perfect for people of all ages and is simply a beautiful way to spend the day.

- Return Waiheke ferry to & from Auckland
- First bus service meets the 9am Waiheke Walk-up and Waiheke Reserve ferry from Auckland. Last bus service meets the 7pm Waiheke Walk-up ferry to Auckland.

- FERRY JOURNEY - 40 minutes or 45 minutes via Devonport.
- Bus route duration is 1.5 hours, you are free to Hop-on Hop-off off the bus as much as you would like throughout the day
- Tour at your own pace. We recommend allowing at least five hours including ferry travel.
- Tour meets customers at Matiatia Ferry Terminal on Waiheke Island. Tour returns to the wharf to allow passengers to depart back to Auckland.
- 40 minutes or 45 minutes via Devonport.
- Child rates apply (5-15yrs)
- 0-4 years travel free of charge if sitting on a lap otherwise child fare applies if a seat is required
- You can stay on the island as long as you want as there is a new hop on, hop off service which operates hourly to and from Waiheke island
- Bookings are required for date and time of travel.
- No tours on Christmas Day. Good Friday, Easter Sunday and ANZAC Day
- Tickets for Fullers360 Experiences and Tours may be exchanged or refunded up to 48 hours prior to time of travel.
- No refunds will be given for cancellations within 48 hours of travel time.
- Customers must travel on the time and date that has been booked with tickets displaying the correct time and date of travel.

What a great day. The hop on hop bus was fantastic. Loved the commentary. The boat trip over was wonderful. I am not much into wineries but the other sites are really good eg beaches.
