What you can expect
Wind through the Canterbury countryside on a full day trip that leaves central Christchurch at 9.30am and is back by 4pm, with your guide talking through the land, the stock, and the farming year as you travel. On a private working farm you watch a sheep shearing demonstration up close, then see the dogs put through a trialling display in the paddock.
Lunch is an individual picnic of local produce, then the day moves on to the award winning Waipara Valley for wine tastings. Transport, pick up, and drop off in the central city are all included, with wireless internet on board for the ride. If you are travelling off a cruise ship, say so when you book, as the tour runs an earlier return for cruise passengers.
