Head out across Christchurch on a combined tram and gondola pass that covers about three hours between the two attractions. The heritage tram runs a 50 minute circuit through the central city, and your all day pass lets you hop on and off at 18 stops including Riverside Market, the Botanic Gardens, the Avon River, and New Regent Street, with live commentary from the driver as you roll past.
The gondola sits about 15 minutes by vehicle from town, and the cable car takes roughly 10 minutes to reach the summit of Mt Cavendish, where the view takes in Christchurch, Lyttelton Harbour, the Southern Alps, and Banks Peninsula. Up top, ride the six minute Christchurch Discovery Ride, walk the summit tracks, or sit with a coffee and the view. Take the gondola on a clear day and save the tram for another, your pass does not tie the two to one date.
Fun
Gondala was totally worth it unfortunately I didn't think the Trams were really worth the $$
