What you can expect

A bungy jump is a once in a lifetime must do activity, especially whilst in New Zealand, the home of bungy! If you are up for the ultimate adrenaline rush in Hanmer Springs then take a leap of faith off the 135 year old Waiau River Ferry bridge. The setting is idyllic with lush forest, rugged mountains and the roaring river below.

Step up to the ledge, safely strapped into your harness and pear over to see your fate. Then it is up to you! Spring forwards and experience the rush of free fall. It will feel like an eternity but then a wave of pure adrenaline will wash over you!

If nerves are getting the better of you and you need a push why not share the experience with a friend and do the bungy in tandem.

FAQs
  • Is there a weight limited for the Hanmer Springs Bungy Jump? The maximum weight limit for the Bungy Jump is 200kg, and the harness is fully adjustable to fit all guest within that weight limit.
  • Does the parent need to be there on the day to sign the waiver for a child under 16 or can this be downloaded and signed prior to attending? A parent or guardian must sign a waiver on check in. This cannot be signed in advance. If you are not travelling with your parents you can ask a guardian who is over 18 to sign.
Additional Information
  • You must wear closed in footwear (ie runners), no sandals or flip flops
  • Photos are available at an additional cost on the day
  • Minimum age is 10 years with a minimum weight of 35kg (guests must fit harness)
  • Children under 16 years must have written consent signed from a parent or guardian
  • Tandem jumps are available if you wish to jump with a friend
Cancellation Policy
  • Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
  • Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
  • Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

This is a great first time Bungee experience. Felt safe and secure with the team at Hanmer Springs. Paid $50 extra for video and photos, worth it, the quality was amazing.
