Hanmer Springs Grade 2 Rafting & Jet Boat Ride

Join us at the Waiau River for a family rafting adventure and jet boat ride. With grade 2 rapids this rafting trip is great fun for all ages and abilities. Before entering the water your guide will provide you with a full safety briefing and instructions on the rafting techniques to use during your trip. Set amongst the imposing mountains and marble land formations this is an idyllic setting for a rafting experience.

Once you are kitted out in your wetsuit, helmet and life jacket you will float down the River Waiau Canyon whilst your guide provides you with informative and entertaining commentary on the local surroundings, nature and folklore. In the crystal clear waters you will see Salmon and Trout. If you want to take a jump into the refreshing waters we can take a brief stop for some cliff diving before a thrilling jet boat ride back to base.

The rapids are grade two which means you will not face any major rapids but you will get splashed by the water. The experienced guides on board will be on hand to help you throughout the trip and to ensure your safety at all times.
