Round the Bay - 2.5 hours  For an easy 2.5 hour hike, take a water taxi from Te Anau to Brod Bay with Fiordland Outdoors Co. Follow the cycle trail from Brod Bay along the shores of Lake Te Anau and past the Birdlife Park on a 10 kilometre walk back to Te Anau. This Round the Bay hike has beautiful views across Lake Te Anau in Fiordland National Park and is ideal for families and trail runners.

Mount Luxmore - 6-8 hours For more of a challenge, hike up Mount Luxmore in a day with return water taxi transfers to Brod Bay. With options to reach the bush line, Luxmore Hut or Mount Luxmore summit, this Kepler Track day walk has over 1200 metres of elevation gain and can take from 6-8 hours. At the top of Mount Luxmore, you are rewarded with outstanding views of Lake Te Anau and Fiordland National Park before making your descent to catch a return water taxi.
