Kayak Milford Sound with Roscos Milford Kayaks. Sea kayaking is the best way to see Milford Sound as it allows you to get up close and personal with the abundance of sea life and the spectacular scenery such as Mitre Peak and the amazing waterfalls! 
 
Choose from an early morning sunrise kayak when the winds are at the calmest or opt for the thrill of the afternoon breeze and tackle the Twilighter that departs at 4pm and returns just before sunset. You can even combine your sea kayaking experience on Milford Sound with a boat cruise on Milford (contact our customer experience team) or a walk on the famous Milford Track (Paddle & Walk - Roscos). All kayak trips run during the summer months (Oct-Apr) with some, like the Sunriser Classic (operated by Roscos), operating 12 months of the year. 
 
All kayak trips depart from Deep Water Basin in Milford Sound, however if you need return transfers from Te Anau (half way between Queenstown and Milford Sound) choose the 'Day Safari' with Roscos.
