What you can expect
Skydive Auckland’s most popular skydive height is 18,000ft, the highest tandem skydive available in New Zealand. Imagine the thrill of falling at 200+ km/hr with a backdrop of the east and west coasts of New Zealand followed by the serenity of a beautiful parachute ride with stunning views in every direction. As soon as you are down, you will want to do it all over again! So, how would you feel about jumping out of a plane from this crazy height?
Skydive Auckland use only the best equipment, and their impeccable safety record and intensive training means you will be well looked after. After a briefing and explanation, you will board the plane, attach to your tandem master and make your jump!
If 18,000ft with 75 seconds of freefall seems a little too scary you can opt for a lower height jump from 16,000ft with 60 seconds of free fall or 13,000ft with 45 seconds. As you freefall at 200km per hour you will be bordered by both the east and west coasts, rainforests, beaches and of course beautiful Auckland City.
After a knuckle-whitening few seconds, your initial freefall fear will melt away, leaving you feeling exhilarated and God-like. A tandem jump feels like you’re floating on a giant balloon of air, meaning that the higher jumps aren’t more terrifying, just a lot more fun! At 5,000ft, your parachute is opened and you slow to an extremely comfortable floating pace, allowing you to really take in the patchwork of emerald green fields and winding aqua waterways, peeking out from under the glorious, fluffy white clouds. On touch down you will want to do it all over again!

- Allow 3 hours (5 hours including transfers from central Auckland)
- Departs hourly from 9:00am - 3:00pm (9:00am - 1:00pm in winter)
- Between 10:00am & 3:00pm if self driving to the Parakai drop zone
- Return transfers from outside the Sky Tower, corner of Federal & Victoria Streets, Auckland or meet at West Auckland Airport, Skydive Auckland, 73 Green Rd, Parakai

- What are the age restrictions for the Auckland Tandem Skydive? There is no specific age limit for the Auckland Tandem Skydive. Skydive Auckland has taken participants as young as 7 and as old as 90. For younger children, the primary consideration is ensuring that the harness fits securely for their tandem skydive Auckland experience.
- What is the weight limit for the Auckland Tandem Skydive? Skydive Auckland generally operates with a 100kg weight limit for tandem skydiving in Auckland. However, under certain circumstances, passengers over 100kg may still be allowed to skydive. The final decision is made by the instructor based on various factors.
- Does the Auckland Tandem Skydive include photos and videos? Photos and videos are not included in the base price of the Auckland Tandem Skydive, but you can add them on the day. Prices range from $139 for photos to $399 for the ultimate video and photo package, which includes Handycam and outside camera footage of your tandem skydive Auckland experience.
- What happens if my Auckland Tandem Skydive is canceled due to weather and I cannot reschedule? If your Skydive Auckland experience is canceled due to weather and you cannot reschedule, you will receive a full refund for the missed tandem skydive Auckland experience.
- Can my friend accompany me during the Auckland Tandem Skydive without participating? Yes, spectators are welcome to accompany you during the Auckland Tandem Skydive, however they can only view from the ground. They can join free of charge if there are spare seats in the van on the day.
- Am I allowed to use my own GoPro during the Auckland Tandem Skydive? Unfortunately, GoPros are not allowed during the Auckland Tandem Skydive or at any other commercial skydive locations in New Zealand. You need to be a trained skydiver to use them safely during freefall.
- No age limit on the 16,000ft or 13,000ft Skydives, under 18 years must have written consent from a parent or guardian
- No child rates
- 18,000ft skydives are limited to 12yrs +
- Minimum weight of 30kg, Max weight is 100kg. If you are slightly over (less than 110kg) then you still may be able to jump so please contact us to find out. There is an additional charge of $50 payable on the day
- Wear comfortable clothing & lace up shoes
- Video & photos package available for purchase on the day only. You have the option between the handy cam photo package ($139), handy cam video package ($149), handy cam photo & video package ($199) or the ultimate handy cam and freefall photo & video package ($399). All footage is emailed to you!
- Weather dependent so we recommend booking for the morning on one of your first days in Auckland so that you can reschedule if necessary
- Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 48hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Really long queues to change our prepaid voucher for tickets, long wait after this to enter the 4D show and then the viewing deck was very busy. This was possibly due to it being New Years Eve.
