Cape Reinga & 90 Mile Beach Tour

Heading along Te Paki Stream, you encounter the mammoth sand dunes that the area is popular for; and what are sand dunes good for? Sand surfing of course! Driving along the almost untouched 90 mile beach makes you feel as though you are exploring a deserted tropical island! The golden sand seems to stretch on forever and you wonder if the beach is 90 miles or 900 miles. When you stop, you will have the chance to dig for shellfish (conditions permitting) and enjoy the sun, sand and surf. As you head back to the Bay you will come to realise why Te Rerenga Wairua is so important to the Māori people.
