What you can expect

Experience the rush of ziplining high above the Port Hills at Christchurch Adventure Park. This family friendly adventure combines adrenaline and scenery in one unforgettable outdoor activity. The 4-line course features four unique ziplines — including the highest in New Zealand at 150 metres and the longest at just over 1 kilometre — making it one of Christchurch’s most exciting attractions.

Start your adventure with a scenic chairlift ride to the top of the park, where expert guides fit your gear and share safety tips. The first zipline offers sweeping city and ocean views, while the second prepares you for the ultimate flight — soaring high above the treetops. The final zipline takes you over and through forest canopy, offering more than a kilometre of pure exhilaration.

After your tour, unwind in the Adventure Park village. Enjoy a drink or bite at the licensed cafe and bar, which features a large sunny deck and outdoor heaters for winter comfort.

Additional Information
  • Children under 13 must be accompanied by someone aged 16 or older
  • Minimum height 122cm (4ft)
  • Weight range 27kg–125kg (60–276lbs)
  • Not suitable for pregnant guests or those with heart, back, neck, or bone injuries
  • Participants must walk short distances and carry their own equipment (helmet, harness)
  • Closed-toe shoes required
  • Dress for outdoor conditions; tours run in most weather but may be delayed for high winds
  • Licensed cafe and bar on site with sunny deck and heaters for winter
  • Free parking and EV charging stations available
  • GoPro video available for purchase
  • Personal cameras are welcome if secured to you during the zipride
  • Times may vary slightly on the weekend (Saturday & Sunday)
