Loved the experience, the crew was super acccomodatiing. I turned up a little late because this was a surprise and I was blindfolded but the crew played along and was a great sport. Really enjoyed this.

The ‘Bach’ Bungy centre, located in beautiful Westhaven Marina, Auckland, is home to the world’s first Harbour Bridge Bungy jump. AJ Hackett Bungy (famed for being the Bungy originals) have engineered a modern marvel – a special launch platform called the Bungy pod – which is suspended underneath the Auckland Harbour Bridge. This futuristic-looking feat of engineering is easily accessed via an exclusive bridge walk and has plenty of local parking available.
Your experience begins with the bridge walk underneath the spectacular Auckland Harbour Bridge. This itself is worthy of recognition, as the view of Waitemata Harbour is dazzling against the contrast of the grand old bridge structure. You can build your courage while admiring the 360° views of the ‘City of Sails’ on your walk out to the pod, but once you’re there, the action is on! With your heart pumping in tune to the Pod’s music system, you take the leap. With the salty wind in your hair, you plummet towards the azure blue water – and just as you think you’re going to hit the glassy surface, you are safely pulled back up by the Bungy rope. Exhilarating!
You may choose from a variety of Bungy jumps, including tandem Bungy and the ever-popular water-touch, which is quite a refreshing thrill. If you are a little nervous and just want to watch the action, you can see friends or family complete the jump from the stairwell across from the pod. You may be tempted to change your mind though and join the hundreds of other jumpers – including the famous Justin Bieber – who have conquered the Auckland Harbour Bridge Bungy jump.

- What is the minimum and maximum weight for the Auckland Bridge Bungy Jump? To do the Auckland Bridge Bungy Jump, you must weigh at least 35kg and no more than 150kg. For tandem jumps, the combined weight must not exceed 150kg, and the weight difference between jumpers cannot exceed 30kg.
- Can I do a tandem jump for the Auckland Bridge Bungy? Yes! The Auckland Bridge Bungy Jump offers tandem jumps. Just ensure both participants meet the weight requirements, and book two individual jump tickets. The setup for tandem will be arranged on the day.
- Do I have to touch the water during the Auckland Bridge Bungy Jump? No, water touches are completely optional. You can request a dunk or choose to stay dry—just let your jump master know on the day.
- Can my child do a tandem bungy with me? Yes, children aged 10+ years who meet the minimum weight of 35kg can jump tandem with an adult. The combined weight must be under 150kg, and the weight difference must not exceed 30kg.
- Is it possible to buy an open-dated gift voucher for the Auckland Bridge Bungy Jump? Absolutely! You can purchase an open-dated gift voucher online. The recipient can redeem it when ready and even use it for another activity on our site if they change their mind.
- Do I need to book in advance for the Auckland Bridge Bungy? It’s highly recommended. While you can drive to the site directly, time slots fill up, especially during summer and weekends. Booking guarantees your spot.
- Where is the Auckland Bridge Bungy Jump located and can I drive there? The Auckland Bridge Bungy Jump is based at the AJ Hackett Bungy pod on the Auckland Harbour Bridge. You can self-drive, and there’s free parking available on-site, including space for campervans.
- Can I combine the Auckland Bridge Bungy with the Bridge Climb? Yes! You can book the Bridge Climb & Bungy Combo. If some in your group only want to climb, that’s fine—they’ll be able to watch the bungy jump partway through the experience at no extra cost.
- Tandem Bungy jumps are available
- Minimum age is 10 years. Children 14 and under need to be accompanied by an adult
- Spectators are welcome on the bungy pod at a cost paid on the day. A waiver will be signed, and they will be geared up with a belt-harness and helmet. Minimum spectator age is 7 years
- Minimum weight is 35kg (spectators included) and maximum weight is 150kg
- Minimum height is 120cm
- Family price available
- Student price available for NZ students only & student ID must be produced
- Cameras: You are welcome to take your phone out onto the bridge with you, and you can jump with a camera securely attached to you, at your own risk and ONLY at the discretion of the jump crew on the day
- Spectator option and Bridge Climb available
- Free transportation from the Sky Tower can be arranged. This is limited and subject to availability
- You can walk there from town, get the free AJ Hackett shuttle from the Skytower or drive & park right out the front
