- How many people can do in one Gondola? The Gondola cabins can have 4 adults, this is based in the idea that the combined weight is max 300kg
- I'm travelling with 4 adults and 1 child. Does this means we have to take 2 gondolas in Christchurch? Yes, that is right. Although it won't cost you any more to take 2 gondolas as you are charged per person, not per gondola.
- Can you get public transport from Christchurch to the Gondola? For the Christchurch Gondola, you can get there by public bus: bus number 8 operates year-round from the Christchurch Bus Interchange and stops directly outside the Christchurch Gondola base station.
- No minimum age. Children must be accompanied by an adult
- Child rates apply (5-15yrs)
- Infants 0-4yrs travel free of charge
- Gondola cabins have 4 seats. Maximum of 4 people per gondola.
- Last ride up of the day is at 4:00pm
- Large carpark available at the Gondola Base Station
- You can catch a public bus (number 28) from Christchurch central to the Gondola Base Station
- Wheelchair accessible up to a width of 600mm. An elevator is available at the summit station to access the café & observatory
