When Is the Best Time to Ski in New Zealand?

The 2025 New Zealand ski season runs from mid-June through to early-October. 

• Ski Fields: Natural snow and snow guns combined means snow quality is reliable throughout the season. For optimal conditions, we recommend visiting from July to September.
• Heli-Skiing: Relying on the cold stuff, the best time for heli-skiing is during mid-season. We recommend booking a heli-skiing adventure for travel in July & August.
