Description

Two iconic Queenstown activities, the Onsen Hot Pools and Walter Peak BBQ Lunch Cruise package combines sightseeing, gourmet dining and relaxation in New Zealand’s top adventure town. Sit back and relax in a private cedar-lined pool at Onsen Hot Pools with a complimentary beverage and snack. Perched above the Shotover River, this idyllic Queenstown experience allows you to soak in approx 38.5 degree hot pools surrounded by majestic mountain scenery. Cruise across Lake Wakatipu from central Queenstown on a 1912 steamship, the TSS Earnslaw, to reach Walter Peak farm station. Onboard the cruise you can discover the history of the Lady of the Lake and watch the coal-fired steam engines in action, then disembark for a guided farm tour and delicious gourmet BBQ Lunch at the Colonel's Homestead.

Walter Peak BBQ Lunch & Lake Cruise - departs Real NZ Visitor Centre, Steamer Wharf, central Queenstown

Please note, Onsen Hot Pools has limited availability, you will receive your confirmed time for Onsen Hot Pools in your booking confirmation
The Earnslaw is on an annual survey from mid May to late June. From 15th May to 26th June 2023, a substitute motorised vessel will operate as a replacement for the Walter Peak portion of this tour.
Onsen Hot Pools shuttle leaves hourly from central Queenstown, please select if you require the shuttle upon booking
Child rates apply 5-11yrs (must be accompanied by an adult)
Children under 5 years of age are not permitted in the pools at any time
Bring a camera, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat & swimwear
Up to 4 adults can fit comfortably in each hot pool - ideal for individuals, couples or families
Swimwear is compulsory at Onsen Hot Pools
Complimentary alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages & snacks available at Onsen Hot Pools
Pools after sunset include a lantern package

Enjoyed the Spa, relaxing. Earnslaw great and enjoyable ride, love the BBQ at Walter Peak and the pudding. Beautiful gardens, love the Farm, also enjoyed eating real organic meats… generous serving. Well done.

Hi, Can this COMBO be split over a couple of days or does it have to be completed all in the ONE day ?

Hiya Mazza, Thanks so much for your enquiry into the Onsen Hot Pools and Walter Peak BBQ Lunch Combo. Yes, this combo can be split up over multiple days just whatever works for you, the timings are hard to give as there are multiple activities so it would depend on a few variables like how many people you're booking for, the dates you're booking and how far in advance you're booking. When booking last minute you're subject to availability and we would have to work around available times, if booking in advance we usually have no issues in securing the times our customers want that works within their itinerary.
