Do you have any weight limits for the canyoning etc?

Heya, No there is no weight limit. You just need to be able to swim and have a certain degree of fitness and mobility. As you will be climbing and jumping off things etc.

If we drove to Glenorchy, what time would we have to arrive and what would the total time of the excursion be? Also, would the price then be less per person? How much? Thanks!

Hi Diana, the drive from Queenstown to Glenorchy is about an hour and if you opt for the self drive Routeburn Canyoning then you will need to meet in Glenorchy at 10.15am. The cost is $210 per person instead of $240 if you drive yourselves.

Do you have any rules against customers taking/using their own wearable GoPro camera on this activity? (I shoot video/stills professionally and am comfortable wearing my GoPro fixed to my chest on a hands-free automatic interval setting).

Hi Kade, GoPro's are not permitted Canyoning sorry. There is a personal photographer at various stages along the way however no other cameras are allowed.

Hi, I'm interested in doing Canyoning for my schoolies holiday. I've been organising my travel insurance and it does not explicitly cover "canyoning", but it does cover abseiling, caving, flying fox, hiking, safariiing and swimming. Are there any other particular things I need to be covered for? Thanks :)

Comment by: Ash on 3rd Nov 12 at 21:32

Hi Ash,

The Routeburn Canyoning is closed May - October each year. Regarding your question about Insurance. Your travel insurance seems to cover most elements of the canyoning - however you would want to check with them to be 100% sure.
