You can only bring your GoPro on the Shotover Jet if it is hands-free by way of using a forehead mount strap. These straps can be purchased at the base building. Photos are taken on the land prior to boarding, and there is also a camera at the front of the boat to capture some great footage throughout the trip. These photos are available to purchase at the end of the tour.

Can my 1 year old daughter join us on the Shotover Jet ride in Queenstown?

Comments

Unfortunately, there is a minimum height requirement of 1 metre (3ft) to ride the Shotover Jet in Queenstown, so your 1 year old daughter will not be able to accompany you. If you do still wish to ride the Shotover Jet then you and your partner/wife can do the jet boat ride at different times, one after the other, so that one of you can look after your child at all times.

Hi Helena, the Shotover Jet is a very popular activity and can book out in advance especially, if there are tour groups in town. While it is not essential to book before you arrive, we do recommend it to ensure you get your preferred time and day.

Does the jet boat operate in the rain?

Comments

Hi Chris. The Shotover Jet can operate if it's raining lightly but if the weather is really bad and it's pouring with rain then the drivers don't have optimal visibility and they will cease operations until it eases. If this happens you can reschedule with Shotover Jet or you can receive a full refund from us.
