Before your jump, you will be treated like a star by Skydive Bay of Islands, as you arrive at the Skydive headquarters in your luxury limousine. Once there, you will meet the friendly and professional staff, who will gear you up and calm you down before you embark on the adventure of a lifetime. Between them, the intensively trained tandem masters at Skydive Bay of Islands have over 25 years’ experience and have performed over twenty thousand successful jumps!

This very popular business has been certified by the Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand, up to the highest possible standards, so you know you are in safe hands and can jump without a worry in the world. After you board the plane, you will be treated to a windowed version of the stunning views you will experience on your tandem jump. The amazing Bay of Islands – which is one of the most beautiful areas on the North Island – consists of 144 individual islands that sit resplendent in green against the striking aqua blue hue of the ocean. When you reach your preferred jump height of either 18,000ft (75 seconds of freefall), 16,000ft (70 seconds of freefall), 12,000ft (45 seconds of freefall) or 9,000ft (20 seconds of freefall), your tandem master will guide you to the open door of the plane, so take a deep breath and kiss your fear goodbye!

The first few seconds are terrifying, but as you progress through the 200km per hour freefall, the seconds will feel like minutes, your brain will take in every aspect of the experience and your fear will quickly turn into exhilaration. When your parachute opens, you will have 360 degree views of absolute paradise, with the gorgeous Bay of Islands below you and the distant Cavalli Islands to the north (depending on the weather). The amazingly spiritual feeling you will experience as you gently float down to Earth will stay with you forever.
