Your 20 minute Queenstown Scenic Flight with Air Milford features some of Queenstown’s most iconic attractions. Usually a 20 minute drive from Queenstown, fly out towards the Gibbston wine region. Home to more than 10 wineries and surrounded by dramatic scenery, Gibbston is known as the ‘Valley of the Vines’ and produces, most notably, premium pinot noir. Next, look out for the charming and quaint village Arrowtown, which has a rich history in gold mining and is set on the banks of Arrow River. Throughout the flight, your Air Milford pilot provides local knowledge of Queenstown’s incredible landmarks as you pass over them.
As your flight path with Air Milford continues, look out for Coronet Peak, a favourite ski field amongst Queenstown locals. With uninterrupted views from your window seat, you will be awestruck by the sheer scale of the mountains surrounding Queenstown. Look out across the Queenstown township and Lake Wakatipu to the endless peaks of the Southern Alps. Finally, your flight passes over The Remarkables, the most recognisable mountain range in Queenstown, where you can look out for the glacial Lake Alta before making your way back to Air Milford.
