Description

You are barely sitting, even though your seat is comfortable. You are rigid with nerves and excitement as you buckle yourself in to your bucket seat with a four-point harness. The engine roars to life, and you hear and feel the easy purr of the 383Ci 6.3L V8 Chevy engine below you. As the 13-foot jet boat lunges forward, the 450 horsepower, one stage jet unit really shows its strength and – with a smile that is almost a grimace, due to your pumping adrenaline – you are propelled to 100km in just 4.5 seconds!

Velocity Valley – which is located just 10km from Rotorua city – is the home of Agrojet – New Zealand’s fastest Jet boating experience and the world's only commercial Jetsprint ride. Jetsprint racing is fast becoming one of the hottest new competitions on the international circuit and now you too have the opportunity to experience the thrill of a Jetsprint experience for yourself. This is truly like a full-throttle Formula 1 racing experience, only, on the water instead of the tarmac.

Velocity Valley's experienced, professional jet boat drivers will quickly turn your nerves into thrills as they expertly navigate their way through multiple hot laps of the 1km Agrojet sprint course. You will experience 3 G's of force and 100km an hour speeds as your driver negotiates islands, sharp turns and sweeping bends. With the wind in your hair and your heart in your throat, you will experience the thrill of a lifetime before your driver finishes off with the famous roaring 360-degree Hamilton Jet spin.

This is a perfect way to spend the day with a friend, as the jet boats have room for two passengers. Agrojet – who are Qualmark Endorsed and are members of the Rotorua Sustainable Tourism Charter – cater for all ages (however, there is a height minimum of 1 metre tall).

Trip Includes

Duration

• Allow 1 hour including travel time from Rotorua

Departures

• Regular departures between 9am - 4pm
• You will need to get your own way to the Velocity Valley base located 10kms from Rotorua township on State Highway 5 next to the Agrodome. You can drive yourself or catch the local bus that departs every 10 minutes from town
• Operates daily all year (7 days a week 9am to 4pm; 9am – 5pm during NZ school holidays)

• Clients need to be at least 1 metre tall. There are no age restrictions
