Cardrona Mountain Biking Lessons

Description

If you are new to mountain biking then a First Timer Package at Cardrona is a great way to introduce you to the basic skills required for downhill mountain biking. The qualified mountain bike instructors will teach you the basics on the learners area before heading out to take on your first green/beginner trails. You will learn techniques such as bike positioning, braking and turning techniques. This is a great introduction to mountain biking before you head out on your own.

If you have previous experience but would like to hone your skills then a one on one lesson is a great option. 

Trip Includes

• First Timer Pack - 2 hour group beginner lesson with qualified bike instructor, lift pass & full suspension bike
• Private Lesson - One on one instruction with qualified bike instructor

Duration

• Allow 5 hours for half day package
• Allow 8 hours for full day package
• Allow 2 hours for private lesson

Departures

• Half day package begins at 10am & 1pm
• Full day package begins at 10am
• Private lessons run hourly 10am-4pm
• Operates daily Dec-March
• Transfers from Central Queenstown or self drive to Cardrona Alpine Resort

Other Information

• Bookings are essential
• First time package is only suitable for beginners. If you have experience please book a private lesson
• There are on mountain facilities including a cafe, restaurant & retail store
• You must wear closed in footwear (ie runners), no open toe footwear
• Ideally wear shorts & a couple of layers on your top half
• Operates summer only (Dec-March)
• Downhill riding only
• Children aged 0-5 years can gain a free lift pass.
• Child rates apply for 6-17 years
• All bike rentals include full face helmet & pads if required
• Friday evenings are open until 8pm
