Piopiotahi, by which Milford Sound is also known, is the most stunning example of Tu Te Raki Whanoa’s handiwork. Whether the fiord is pelted with rain or glinting under the sun, it is an awe-inspiring sight.

Cruising the Milford on the Milford Wanderer is an unforgettable experience. The boat will travel the entire length of the fiord accompanied by a nature guide and experienced crew. Keep your eyes peeled for native wildlife including fur seals catching some sun on nearby rocks. Experience the great outdoors and explore the Milford end of the world famous Milford Track or explore the shoreline by tender craft. As the sun sets, the Milford Wanderer goes back, weather permitting, with sails hoisted to peaceful Harrison Cove where you will spend the night. Enjoy a sumptuous meal in the saloon and get to know your fellow passengers before retreating to your twin share accommodation. • This trip begins in Milford (PLEASE NOTE MILFORD SOUND IS A 5 HOUR DRIVE FROM QUEENSTOWN). Coach options are available from Te Anau or Queenstown
• Parking at Milford Sound is $10 per hour, payable by credit card only. This fee applies to all paved carparks. The gravel overflow carpark in Deepwater Basin is free and a courtesy shuttle to the Milford Terminal operates every 15-20 minutes between 8 am and 5:30 pm.
• Overnight Cruise passengers should park in the coach carpark after 3.30pm, which will not be charged. Overnight parking in the main carparks will be charged a flat rate of $20 between the hours of 8pm and 8am in addition to any daytime hours.
• A Milford Sound Levy of $10 is included in the price
