Tours operate with a maximum of 4 in a private group or have a one on one experience with a private individuals tour.
Possible Itineraries:
South of Queenstown, along Lake Wakatipu & the Nevis Range - Make memorable stops at Lake Wakatipu's Windy Point Lookout, Jardine's Boulder Field, Wye Creek, and the thrilling Devil's Staircase. Explore Kingston's inviting lakefront, relish the nostalgia of the Flyer steam train and Old Fairlight station, and follow the serene Mataura River. Venture further by visiting the upper Matura River reaches and delving into the captivating Eyre Mountains backcountry. At the Nevis Range, capture vistas across Southland, document the rustic charm of the old Nevis ski hut, and photograph the unique alpine tussock environments with their striking rock tors.
North to Wanaka - Head out of Queenstown to Wanaka over the Crown Range, visit the iconic Cardrona Hotel pub, Lake Wanaka and the most photographed tree out there - That Wanaka Tree. See the Motatapu Gorge, Glendhu Bay and the Matukituki River mouth.
East to Cromwell, vineyards, orchards & gold history - Head east from Queenstown through the Gibbston Valley Vineyards, visit historic Arrowtown, Kawarau Gorge, Roaring Meg Waterfall, Old Cromwell Town, the surrounding vineyards, Bannockburn gold sluicings and historic gold mining sites.
West to Glenorchy & Paradise - View Moke Lake, Sam Summer's Hut (1.5-2 hour walk), views of Pigeon island, old Glenorchy wharf, old paradise homestead, Dart River and the Rees river, the remnants of gold mining.
Skippers Canyon - Visit Skippers Saddle for views across the Wakatipu Basin with the Remarkables and the lake in the distance. Enter the historic Skippers canyon road with its massive rock landforms, views of the spectacular road winding down the canyon and the Southern Alps. Zig zag up the Crown Range for amazing views and explore quaint old Arrowtown with its gold mining past and old Chinese market garden.
