Haka Tours are here to make dreams come true with a 7 day Ultimate Heli Tour of New Zealand's South Island. If you dream of first tracks, powder runs and exploring NZ's backcountry skiing or snowboarding this is the tour for you!

Your tour kicks off in Christchurch with a drive to the starting point of your first heli ski where you will explore The Arrowsmith, Ragged and Palmer Ranges offering over 1000km2 of terrain and over 200 named heli ski runs. Day two will take you to Mt Hutt which receives some of the lightest and driest powder in Australasia. The following day you will wake up in Mt Cook to ski the largest heliski area in NZ, operating amongst the highest peaks in Mt Cook National Park. This heli ski offers the highest landings, longest runs, greatest snow accumulation and the most consistent conditions. On day four you can enjoy a relaxing half day at Ohau. The ski field is a gem of the South Island, with no queues and plenty of off piste at your ski tips! Then it's on to Wanaka for your third day of heliskiing in Wanaka and the surrounding area. With 11 different mountain ranges and over 8500 square metres of terrain you will be spoiled for first tracks. Day six sees you exploring Treble Cone and its backcountry with a professional guide and on day seven you will have free time in Queenstown to explore. Choose to head up Coronet Peak, Remarkables or enjoy the many activities on offer!

Other Information

• Small groups of 16 per tour
• If you would like to upgrade your room from a twin share to a private room you can do this at the checkout
• A small bus is used with a trailer to transfer your luggage & gear
• If a mountain is closed due to poor conditions you will go to a different mountain if possible. Otherwise you will be refunded for your day pass/heli ski
• The tour is suitable for intermediate & advanced skiers only due to the nature of the terrain
• Rental equipment is high quality. You will be issued with your gear on day 1 to use for the duration of your trip
• The tour ends in Queenstown or Christchurch depending on your chosen tour
