Embark on the trip of a lifetime with the Duck & Dive adventure in Taupo, combining grade 3 rafting with Tongariro River Rafting and skydiving from 12,000ft with Taupo Tandem Skydiving. This action-packed day conquering air and water on the Duck & Dive Combo with Taupo Tandem Skydiving and Tongariro River Rafting will introduce you to 2 beautiful locations in New Zealand’s North Island while experiencing 2 epic activities.

Your Duck & Dive combination with Taupo Tandem Skydiving and Tongariro River Rafting will start off with a 12,000ft skydive over Lake Taupo and the stunning Central Plateau scenery, freefalling up to 45 seconds at 200kph. Once you’ve caught your breath, it’s time to make your way to Turangi for the next activity in your Duck & Dive package. Paddle down Tongariro River and experience grade 3 rapids, as well as taking the chance to spot wildlife and enjoy beautiful scenery.

The Duck & Dive package with Taupo Tandem Skydiving and Tongariro River Rafting is an action-packed day sure to top off your holiday!

Trip Includes

• Grade 3 White Water Rafting

Duration

• Allow a full day (approx. 8 hours)

Departures

• Skydive departs at 10am & rafting departs at 2pm
• Activity order may change depending on availability
• Self drive to Taupo Tandem Skydiving at the Big Yellow Hangar, Taupo Airport
• Self drive to rafting base in Turangi (40 minutes self drive from Taupo)
• Operates daily all year

Other Information

• Call both operators directly ahead of departure to confirm weather and timing
• Max weight is 100kg per person
• Grade 3 rapids for White Water Rafting
• Minimum age 10 years old
• Children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian
• Bring swimwear and towel for rafting
• Wetsuit, life jacket, helmet and booties provided by Tongariro River Rafting
• Option to upgrade to 15,000ft and 18,500ft skydive at dropzone
• All skydivers under 18yo will be asked for a signed document from a parent
• 18,500ft skydive (if upgrading) has a minimum age of 17 years old
• Qualmark certified - Taupo Tandem Skydiving have met stringent quality standards & environmental criteria according to NZ Tourism’s official quality assurance organization
• Taupo Tandem Skydiving's drop zone is 5 minutes from Taupo township with free car parking on site
• Cafes within 10-minutes of Taupo Tandem Skydiving
• Wear closed-toe footwear and a warm layer for skydiving
