Start off your 10 day South Island Adventure by meeting your guide in Christchurch and getting to know your new friends. A road trip with Backyard Roadies is ideal for solo travellers, couples and friends, as you are about to spend an epic 10 days journeying through the South Island in a small group bus and making lifelong friendships. Kicking off with a scenic journey to Lake Tekapo, stargazing in the International Dark Sky Reserve and experiencing the magic of Milford Sound, the first 3 days are a whirlwind of soaking in the South Island’s natural beauty.

As the adventure capital of the world, Queenstown is a must-visit in New Zealand’s South Island, and you have 2 full days and 3 nights for activities. Dare yourself to go bungy jumping and jet boating, or explore the vibrant town and its beautiful surroundings at your leisure. The Backyard Roadies road trip then continues through Wanaka and up the wild West Coast via the spectacular Franz Josef glacier. With family meals, heaps of activities to do together and scenic drives through the incredible South Island landscape, this 10 day adventure will create memories and friendships to last a lifetime.

• You must be 18yrs+ to book, tours are tailored for ages 18-35yrs
• Bring a large-sized bag for clothes & belongings (this will be locked in the trailer)
• Bring a small day bag to carry water, snacks, camera & an extra layer
• Packing essentials: waterproof jacket & pants, warm hoodies/jumpers, base thermals (polypro or merino), warm track pants, good socks, going out clothes (for Queenstown), towel, swimwear, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses & a few pairs of shoes (in case they get wet)
• Laundry facilities available in Queenstown (additional cost)
