Description

Experience sensory deprivation with Salt Float Spa in Queenstown and leave your daily stresses behind. Sensory deprivation is the best way to remove your daily sensory overload and stresses of daily life, allowing you to fully relax, detox and heal.

Floating is proven to have a host of benefits including reducing your stress levels, helping with anxiety and depression, reducing neck and joint pain as well as helping those who suffer from sleep troubles. One hour in the Salt Float tank is the same as four hours deep sleep! The tank also helps on the reduction of chronic pain conditions, injuries, improves blood circulation and much more.

The state of the art floatation tanks consist of 450 kgs of Epsom salts and 600l of water which creates the perfect zero gravity environment. Whilst in the tank you float weightlessly and all sensation of temperature, touch, sight and sounds will be lost, allowing you to reach an ultra-deep relaxation which resets the body’s hormonal and metabolic balance, accelerating recovery from the effects of stress, illness, injury or strenuous exercise.

Other Information

• It is advised not to drink coffee or caffeinated drinks for a few hours before a float Refrain from shaving or waxing as the saltwater can irritate your skin. Eating a light meal about 60 to 90 minutes ahead of time will limit hunger distractions during your float
• Most of the items you need during your float are provided such as shampoo, conditioner & body wash for the shower
• All ages are able to float but those under the age of 18 must have their parent or guardian consent. If the floater is under 14 then the guardian will have to remain at the spa for the duration of the float (the guardian can float at the same time)
