The Wakatipu Basin Lord of the Rings tour takes you to several spectacular filming locations, including The Remarkables mountain range - otherwise known as the Misty Mountains! From your viewpoint on Queenstown Hill, take in views of the Misty Mountains and peer down at Deer Park Heights, where the Battle of the Wargs was fought and where the Rohan refugees marched.
Your next stop is along the Kawarau Gorge, well known as the filming location for the iconic Pillars of the Kings (Argonath). The tour will then continue out towards Arrowtown and your Nomad Safaris guide will point out where Isildur fell and the One Ring was lost at Gladden Fields.
