Tongariro Crossing - 50 minutes
From the helipad in Taupo, fly over Huka Falls, along the Waikato River, Taupo Township and along the eastern shore of Lake Taupo. Then on to Turangi, Mt Ngauruhoe’s crater, the Tongariro Crossing as well as Mt Tongariro’s new crater. Lake Rotoaira and the hidden Lake Rotopounamu look absolutely spectacular from the air, and as you journey over the rivers Tongariro and Tauranga-Taupo and across to Rangataria Point past the carvings, you will be in awe. Then it's down the Waikato and back to base.
